Caribbean Flags

The Caribbean is perhaps the coolest place to vacation on Earth. Just pick an island and you're in paradise. Located southeast of North America, the Caribbean is made up of more than 7,000 islands (including all those reefs and cays). The island form a chain about 2,500 miles wide.

Quick facts about the Caribbean:

• The Caribbean gets its name from the Carib peoples, an ethnic group indeginous to the Lesser Antilles.
• Folks from the english speaking parts of the Caribbeaan are sometimes referred to as West Indian.
• After being moved around a few times, Christopher Columbuses' remains are belived to be buried in Santo Domingo.
